Website builds and migrations

I build small business websites in Astro. They load quickly, are set up properly for Google, and come with an editor you can use yourself. Every build starts with a review of your current pages and copy.

What’s in every build

  • A fast site. Static Astro pages on a global network, with images sized for phones.
  • Set up properly for Google. Page titles, descriptions, headings and schema on every page, plus a sitemap and Search Console at launch.
  • Your copy, reviewed. I go through your current pages first, keep what works and rewrite the rest.
  • An editor you can use. Change text, prices, photos and blog posts yourself.
  • Your old links kept. Existing addresses are kept or redirected, so nothing breaks.
  • You own it. Everything is built in your accounts, with a short handover.

Tools I work with

I pick the editor and hosting that suit you, and connect your site to the apps you already run the business on.

  • Editors. Storyblok, Keystatic, Decap or TinaCMS.
  • Hosting. Vercel, Netlify or Cloudflare Pages.
  • Enquiries. HubSpot, Pipedrive, ServiceM8 or Google Workspace.
  • Bookings. Cal.com or Calendly.

Prices

  • Starter, $3,500. Up to 5 pages.
  • Standard, $4,500. Up to 8 pages, including service and location pages.
  • With blog, $7,500. Up to 20 pages, with your existing blog posts moved across.

Prices are fixed and in AUD. Ongoing care is $200 a month, or $500 a month with content updates and blog posts included.

How a build runs

It starts with a free 30-minute website audit. If you go ahead, we agree a fixed scope and price, review your copy, build the site, and hand it over once you are happy with it.

Common questions

Why Astro?

Astro builds your site into plain, fast pages that are served from a global network. There is no PHP, database or plugin layer behind the pages, so there is far less to update and the site stays quick as you add content.

Can I still edit the site myself?

Yes. I set up an editor that suits how you work. Some people want a visual editor where they click and type. Others only change a price now and then and are happy with something simpler. Either way you can update text, photos and blog posts without a developer.

Will I lose my Google rankings if I move?

I keep your existing page addresses where I can and redirect the ones that change, so Google can follow everything across. I also set up Search Console at launch so you can see how the new site is being indexed.

What about WordPress?

WordPress works for a lot of businesses when it is kept updated. If you would rather have less to maintain and a faster site, I can move you across. If staying makes more sense, I will say so.
